Environmental Movement Practice
Time & Location
About the event
Autumn is a time for shedding, change, reflection and harvesting. It is a time for returning to the subject of oneself, to the body and to the earth. In this workshop, we will move together among the changing autumnal landscape of Markeaton Park.
The event is delivered by Dr Gemma Collard-Stokes, an independent dance artist, environmental movement practitioner and researcher specialising in the therapeutic benefits of dance. The workshop consists of movement tasks of a gentle and contemplative nature to encourage relaxation of the body, mind and emotions and is suitable for all abilities and ages.
We will be working outdoors (whatever the weather) so you are encouraged to bring layers for warmth, waterproof clothing to keep out the damp and suitable, all weather footwear.
We will meet in the courtyard of the Craft Village at 4pm. The event is free to attend but please book your place via the link on this page :
